Default Can anyone suggest a pattern?

My son is getting married in the fall 2014. The wedding theme is apples. Can anyone suggest a pattern for me with this theme and colors?

I just ran across this -- http://quiltwoman.com/june-wedding-quilt-pattern.aspx -- which I think is really pretty.

Are your son and fiance traditional or non in terms of style? Do you know what colors they like to decorate with (bright vs. soft, etc.)?

The first thing that leapt to my mind was a reverse double wedding ring -- the rings plain ivory or light gold fabric, the background apple print fabrics. Or you could do an assortment of squares -- alternating apples (using snowball blocks) and hearts, for example.

I did a google search and some darling things came up!

I think this one is my favorite. You could even ask guests to sign the leaves if you wanted.

Here is another version of the quilt that JulieR posted the link for. I think there may be a pattern for that one. I will search a bit and see if I can find it.

(you have to scroll down a bit...bike quilt is cute too!)

Oh my goodness! I went to Pat Sloan's website..and LOOK what is the in the middle of that quilt? The apple block! Maybe she knew!

    http://www.patsloan.com/

Not sure that block will be out in time for you...or if you even like it, but it tickled my fancy that it was the 1st thing that popped up...still chuckling...

How about one of the modern larger apple core quilts? http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&gs...BeeaiALa9oDYDQ

I'd focus on apple print fabric rather than on a pattern. That way you could use your favorite pattern.

I would suggest an appliqued apple tree in the center and use the apples to either embroider or use Micron pen to put family names on. Surround it with some favorite blocks of your choice and a few borders.

Hi, I saw Pat's apple tree, and I just love it. I ordered the pattern from equilateral, and I hope I can make it, I have a lot of time, thanks again!, and thanks to everyone who posted.

Was just online today and found this really cute embroidered apple tree and it is a free pattern. It's called Under the Apple Tree and it is by Robyn of Daisy Quilts. Would be really nice in center of quilt.
