I love it! That turned out beautiful. And the tie back just really finishes it off.

Fantastic. The cupboard was a great idea, too. The entryway has a very together, welcoming look. Great house.

K, tell Hans his cabinet making is great as well. I like your style house & it looks much sturdier than some Am houses. I lived in Germany 4 yrs in 1970s, so your house is much on the same lines as theirs.

A friend of mine has been wanting a Roman shade. I'll show her your door curtain & she may want one of those if it would fit. It would go over a door that leads to her glassed in patio.

K, great curtain. I wish I could have someting like that but I'm afraid the black line of hairballs at the bottom would ruin the look. :(

Is your Hans of German, Dutch, or Norwegian descent or what is his background? Just nosy. He does good work!

I love that curtain, what does it look like from the back when you are outside of the door? Only a tiny question from me.

Your house is wonderful. I love older houses. Much more character than these cookie cutters they build now.

Ha - I'll get tabby and black hairballs before too long - call it a draught excluder!

Hans is 100 percent pure Dutchman, born in Rotterdam. :D

In day time you don't see it because it pulls back behind the wall and at night, you can't see it because it's a) pitch black outside - no streetlights here! and b) there are wooden shutters that are left ajar just enough for the cat to squeeze through. :D But I did invest in a nice extra wide backing fabric - Portobello Market from FatQuarterworld.com at 108" wide. :D

Hans was surprised I hung it this way - he said in Holland they hang the pretty side OUT for the neighbours to see! I said b&#ger the neighbours! I did all the work so I'm looking at the pretty side!
