I hope this link works. It is Got Scraps from the American Quilters society. I made this quilt in soft colors. It was fun to do but I wouldn't do another. It was part of my beginner quilter exploration.

I beleive it is just like one I have on my to-do list. Although this pattern is done it a different style it looks like it could still be the same pattern. Here is a tutorial of the pattern I believe it is

I've seen it made with jean fabric for solid and flannel fabric for colored side. No batting needed. Quick and easy way to make a nice warm jean's quilt. The "flaps" are stiched down and creates the mock cathedral window. It would make a cute baby's quilt using two flannel fabrics.... I really like this one, very pretty!

I also saw this done in a quilt show by making circles, turning them right side out through the slit. then laying them down and over lapping every other one and stitching down the rows that way. different and easy. make placemats or whole quilts this way.

Nancy's notions has a kit that allows you to sew prefect circles with your sewing machine. I believe you can sew them up to 20+ inches in diameter. I plan to make the orange peel quilt for my guild's show this coming fall. I am new to quilting and thought this would give me a fighting chance to complete a quilt on time. I do plan to put Warm and Natural inside each patch so it can be used as a winter quilt. I'm sorry but I don't remember the name of the item in the catalog.

Charlie has a template and instructions for this type of quilt. I think it starts with a multicolor 4 patch cut into a circle. Ann
