Have you ever done THIS?!?
I got ahead of myself by a long shot. I was hoping to finish a quilt for a friend's birthday which is today. I finished the top, spray basted, then thought, "I can get this binding on now and hand stitch the back while I watch tv tonight." So, I squared it up, cut the binding, and had 3/4's of the binding done on the machine, when I froze. I hadn't quilted it. Good grief. So now it's seam ripper time to take the binding off, then hope that I can still quilt it without messing things up. I'll probably do SID, which sounds safe.
Am I the first to make this mistake??

I would think that you could quilt it with the binding on - of course depending on the type of quilting and whether it's on a frame of by domestic machine. You could start/end the stitching in the seam of the binding which would hide it.
Good luck!!

I agree, I wouldn't remove the binding either...with spray basting I get no shift at all, so you'll probably be fine as long as you don't micro quilt it. Just laugh it off and carry on...at least you didn't sew the binding on backwards, lol...been there done that (only once)!
