I agree...the star is beautiful on its own!

I live the border but not on this. If I were to add anything I would use a fine white border like you have and I think it would pop it. Without a border is fine, too. But that is me.

I'm with the majority - the star is the star - don't let it fight with the fancy border.

The beautiful star center needs no embelishment, I vote for no border.

I would leave the border off. It is so beautiful as it is.

agree with this regarding incorporating the colors in the border but not the floral.

I am in the camp that the floral boarder does not have the same feel as your gorgeous star. Unless you need it bigger, I vote not additional border. It would look great in a quilt on the bed though. Great work for your first paper piecing project.

You have a beautiful quilt - either way works - depends on the look you are going for and the size you want it to be.

I have to agree. The border fabric is beautiful but it has a different feel than the star. Romantic versus geometric or something like that. I think the star stands on its own nicely. I vote no border!

I agree with those who believe that the floral border doesn't quite feel right with the star - that star is gorgeous! But in the end it is your quilt and if you love it, then no matter what you choose to do, it will be the right choice!
