Yes waiting for spring ...think it needs GPS to find us this year. Still have mountains of snow and not really looking forward to all the mud.

Rail Fence works well for people to sign. And it would be space for larger prints to be used. Use 2.5" strips, 6.5" long: 2 strips of fabric of interest to your husband, with a white or muslin strip in between. Iron the muslin strips to freezer paper. You can have the blocks made ready to sign or just muslin strips backed with freezer paper available for signing. Any gel pen works for signing. Just mark off the seam allowance if you have just muslin strips.

warm wishes would give you the squares for focus fabrics of his hobbies while giving the striped blocks to allow for signatures. sounds wonderful and congrats on the retirement/birthday.

I have seen both a woodworking panel and a "man fishing" panel that you could use in the middle and then build signature squares around that to the size you want/need. I am thinking you could find those panels online maybe? Just a suggestion. Here's hoping you get rid of your snow soon!
