Here is a promised pic of my sewing area - hubby and I built the table on Saturday. I was looking at work tables online but price and quality were concerning me. Once I sat down and figured out that we could build a super sturdy table for half the price I decided to go for it. Only took us an hour to put it together and I love it. No more bouncing folding table!!!! The hutch belonged to my sister and I have some fabric stored in it (need to get the rest in there lol) and all my bits & bobs fit in the drawers and lower section. Its a cozy space and I really love it - its great to have a place of my own

Big thanks to all of you for your kind thoughts and words - going to get busy sewing today (raining here) and will show you how the lap quilt is coming along. Enjoy your day!! XO

What a lovely space. It does look very cozy. You really are honoring your sister by using the things you received from her.

I am so sorry about your sister... I still "talk" to my mother and she passed 30 years ago but it is comforting to feel her near... keep up your conversations and who knows, she may be listening and seeing the quilt tribute you are making for her. Enjoy your new sewing room!
