thanks brenda......i have a 22 in square are muslin I have been working on....further along so far. I am liking it. Kinda like doing a scrap quilt in every direction. LOL no set pattern just place and sew. I think so far the hardest has been making sure all the ends are completed seams. I know I can cover them with the embleshments. This has been fun so far. Cant wait to see it when I get done with the piecing. Hope it is before I take mom out for her birthday dinner.

Ok I have finished my practice piece just need to do the embleshments and crazy stitches. I am not sure I like the long strips at the top. Suggestions???

createfourpaws, wow you have done great with your first crazy quilt, looks real okay to me and will look even better with a few 'crazy' stitches, keep going

Cindy, no matter which way you go, it's going to conflict with a quilters sense of order. Just embrace the funk and go with it. Mine is so funky, but the more funky it gets, the cooler it becomes.

I also wanted to send Robin my well wishes. Here is a little sunshine for you. She always makes me feel better.

Thanks Lynnie25......I am heading out the door soon for a dinner date and taking mom and dad with me for her birthday and mother's day.

I will be adding the crazy stitches tomorrow. The camo fabric is actual minky. I will have lots of fun with the embelishments.
