If that is what he wanted, great job. Young people have very different ideas when it comes to color.

Don't feel bad. I made a quilt for my DD when she was 15. She wanted bright yellow, lime green, and a funky black print. She loves, I hate it.

I have a teenage grandson who also chose those very same colors, black, purple, lime green. I did a three rail fence and he loved it.
