fabrics came from Fabric.com---they have a nice selection of baseball fabrics- unfortunately last time I looked they did not have the panel any longer- I should have bought 2...try BearPaw Quilting- they may have it- I know there are places that carry a lot of panels- but I can not think of any right now-

questions about 'story behind it' and who its for....no real story behind it- big baseball fans, (tis the season) and it is for a little guy just moving from little bed to first *big boy* bed- his dad is a baseball coach at the local highschool- his big brother's all play ball- it was just a fun quilt.

Red face Can purchase panel

http://www.robertkaufman.com/fabrics/sports_life/

I still had my baseball panel. I made two quilts for both my boys using some blocks of several fabrics I had collected. During my collecting process I came across this panel. I'm assuming it is the same one. Well I checked the selvage and then found it online. In case the link doesn't work it is Karen Foster Design Inc. for Robert Kaufman. On another note thanks for the idea. I was going to make my husband one - just another with blocks again and using the panel on the back. But i like your idea better. My boys have played baseball since they were 4. They both play college ball now, and my husband coached for 28 years. They have so much passion for the game. They would absolutely love your quilt. Great quilting job too!!!
