That is gorgeous! I love the variation on the sizes of the flowers - so different! What an inspiration!

This is a amazing quilt top WIP I love the combination of it. It is different than any I have personally seen before. It is truly inspiring. I have hand pieced two GFG and hand quilted three ( and one of mine isn't done) (quilted two for a friend) anyway. When I take the time to hand piece I think they deserve hand quilting just how I think. You don't have to quilt every hexie. Good luck with you decision.

The tiny hexies and other assembled display pieces they were showing were glued! Instead of folding the fabric and basting the fabrics around the paper hexies like I have been doing they simply used basting glue and dabbed glue on the fabric when they folded it over the corners! I tried it with an Elmers school glue stick when I got home and it works, but I can't seem to force myself to do it, it seems like cheating after I have sewn so many already. Do you agree?
Do you mean to use the glue to baste the hexies? I have not tried that, but it sounds like a great idea. I will have try it!!

Thank you for sharing!!

Good gracious! That is one amazing quilt, and I don't use that word much. I love how you have different sizes and shapes of patterns. Just stunning.

You said .5 hexes, do you mean 1 1/2 inch??? I just cut out 2 inch hexes which will be just bigger than a quarter when sewed. I didn't read all 7 pages of comments. Sorry if I missed something. Marcia
