I did not get to sew at all this 3-day weekend so am a bit envious of the beautiful projects I see here.

I worked on a backing for a Halloween quilt I finished and am now working on a Patriotic star quilt that I thought would be appropriate for this weekend.

I have got a lot done this weekend, I made 2 prayer shawls for our local Church, and have finished 2 UFO baby quilts and almost a third. And put together a couch quilt. I have been sewing on my back porch, with birds singing all around and the humming birds coming within a few feet to get drinks from their feeders. Its been very enjoyable. I'll post a pic of all the little quilts as soon as I get pics taken.

I'm impressed with all the quilt making going on. How wonderful to spend a holiday weekend sewing. I have too much yard work and house work to do as I work full time. My DH made me go driving with him so that took a better part of the day.

Well, your quilt is really lovely! Sorry about the interruption, though... I certainly understand that!!

I was fortunate to have the day to begin working on a quilt for my sweet DIL. I'm appliqueing large snowflakes onto blocks.. the fabric is flannel and I used fusible stuff (can't think of the name of the stuff... sigh) to adhere the flakes to the blocks and now I'm going to hand blanket-stitch around the 49 flake-blocks. I had to get all of them cut out... and it caused some numbness in my thumb!! ha ha.... hope it returns...

I have a few flannel back table cloths. And every time I get ready to do something, something else comes up at an in opportune time. I have learned that If I lay everything and anything on the table cloths flannel side up and that inopportune time happens I can lay the other table cloth on top flannel side down and fold It doesn't move. It makes it easy to adjust. And of course that's if you don't have a design wall or your design wall is already occupied.

I am working on cutting 2 1/2 inch squares for a boquet quilt. I need about 1600 . I think I have about 1100 cut now. It is a scrappy quilt so I am trying to use us small pieces.
