I have pieced a baby quilt with alternating embroidered jungle animals and rail fence blocks, blue and brown. I have had a time deciding on the border. A lot of sewing and ripping. Thank goodness for the seam ripper. I finally have the border on and am getting ready to take it to my Amish neighbor to quilt. This quilt is for my GGS who is 2 months old now. If I don't get on it, I am afraid he will be 1 year old before he gets it.

That's an awesome quilt! What pattern is it? Love the purple, black and white

What a bunch of great projects in the works! I am recovering from total knee replacement and just this past week was able to sit at my machine again! Yippee and just in time. Making this baby/toddler quilt for my brother's dgd. I tried unsuccessfully to upload this pix. Maybe better luck next time. It is made with the Hello Sunshine line from Riley Blake. Just scrappy with a solid orange border followed by a scrappy border.

I did! I've been quilting an 80x80inch Warm Wishes on my DSM since Friday. Not all day, but have worked some of Friday, Saturday, Sunday on it. Am now uncertain about color of thread for outer border and couldn't find the right color today at Wal-Mart (where I went to buy plants) so will have to wait till tomorrow to finish. Then I'll self bind it.

For the poster, who, like me, was somewhat daunted by quilting on a DSM, it gets easier....or you learn more how to do it, perhaps. Anyway, this one has not been bad. My quilting would not win any prizes (SITD and a kind of meander stitch--#38 on my machine) but I'm learning.... It looks okay, I think. Whoever gets it won't be critical.

Not a big fan of grays but with the deep purple this quilt is simply striking.

Fought with the cat. He wanted to shred the quilt batting with his teeth. But my quilt is finally ready for binding.

I worked on my granddaughters birthday quilt which I hoped to have done TODAY for her birthday. Flu set me back a week so I used the weekend to catch up. Half quilted so hopefully will be done before her next birthday.
