I made 1and 1/2 with the seams pressed to the right and 1 1/2 sets pressed to the left. I was told to use a slightly longer stitch length as that makes it easier to take apart Then they are cut into 2 3/4 inch strips (be careful to keep the piles separate) as to the direction they are pressed in. Next open a tube starting with the first and last seam. Then take a strip from the other pile and open it between strip 1 and strip 2. Continue to open the strips one notch down from the previous once you have 10 strips open (making sure they are correct) then cut them with the 9 degree ruler and sew them together. You now should have 1/4th of the circle done. My circle measures 27 inches finished. Anyone who has attempted a bargello knows how important accurate seam allowances are
Your instructions: "Then they are cut into 2 3/4 inch strips" doesn't seem logical. Should that be 20-3/4" strips or something longer than 2 3/4"?

I have been wanting to do one too but never quite get the nerve. You did a lovely job and I like your color placement.
