First I would say electricity, I have tried the treadle & I'm so glad I don't have to use that every day. Second is the light, had light go out once and used a flashlight that fits on my head. Third I would say the top load bobbin, just wish it would tell me when it runs out. Instead it tells me when the spool runs. I can see the spool!

Needle up/down, auto threader and built in walking foot (PDQ for Babylocks)

1/4" quilting stitch(works great for doing binding), automatic pressor foot up/down feature, automatic thread cutter, wide choice of stitches. I love my Ruby Deluxe.

Since most everyone has already mentioned auto thread cutter, needle up/down, and knee lift, I'll add...

1) Saves my custom stitch setting after being powered off/on
2) Separate bobbin winder
3) smooth and easy straight stitch
