Tartan......Thank you so much for your response!! I have some embroidery designs for my machine and some applique ideas that I think would work on these aprons for BBQ.

You mentioned crocheting dishcloths. I can't crochet much now, but I used to make them by crocheting strips of nylon net and cotton thread together. Used very large hooks so stitches are not too tight. They make non-scratching and water retaining cloths. Good for buggy windshields, too!
