I am a sucker for this show also. I grew up watching the Ed Sullivan Show and Hollywood Palace so I really enjoy watching the show as it reminds me of vaudeville. THAT was a little before my time but you get the idea.

Anyway, I liked that there seemed to be more real talent shown last night and not so many really ridiculous ones.

When they show the ridiculous ones, reminds me of the gong show. Instead of hitting the giant gong, they hit the buzzers/"X".

I know there is a lot of really good talent so why do some of those bad ones make it on TV. Is it like a lottery and they draw names?

Surely they have to perform first to make sure it's okay to be shown on TV - I mean, there are a lot of children watching.

This is a link to that show and although it is 86 minutes long, the man singing to his wife is the second act and it is absolutely amazing. I loved it. Thanks for sharing.

It's for entertainment purposes chosen by the producers, something to make the show a little different than your run of the mill talent show. It works! I enjoy laughing at the ridiculous acts.

I thought the voice of the 10 year old girl was great, but I think such a mature voice coming out of a child is a bit unnerving. Especially when they sing mature-themed songs!

I agree...I really like the show but I do not think Howard stern adds anything, and he is abrasive.
