That is a great idea. I've had the snap bag pattern for some time and didn't have a old tape measure to use.

I cover the sharp ends of the metal tape measures with duct tape. This helps keep them from pushing through the fabric. Love to make the bags to match purses that I make from prequilted fabric. I get the tape measures for $1 at the Dollar Tree or other such stores where everything is $1.

Our plastic mini-blinds often have the edge pieces breaking off. Will they crack and break after awhile in the little purses?

do a search in the search bar at top of page, snap bags, or snappy bags, there easy to make, and everybody on here has made them,
