Has been my experience that when you give a little one something just for them, they appreciate it soooo much. They actually show pride and show it off. it's often the adults who ruin it for the kids. i'm sure anything Grandma make for them will be greatly appreciated as long as there are no limitations for them in using it. That is another key, "no limitations'. If all they are allowed to do is look at it, I wouldn't bother.

I've made most of the things mentioned. But one thing I've made lately is using the "panels" to make big pillows (like 14x14) and stuff them for them to watch TV on, throw on their bed, etc. They actually like to help me "stuff" them!!

I don't do embroidery lately, but my DGS loves to pick out things in Grammy's studio for me to make a "blanket" or a pillowcase. Just finished the hot air balloon pillowcase to go with the throw I had made from the hot air balloon swap blocks that he claimed a few weeks ago.
Been thinking an embroidery machine may be in my future. But need washing machine replaced first. It just died on me. Lol!
