Cindy, So many of the ladies here are soooooo talented I am a bit intimidated, but I figured I'm not going to get any better at this if I don't try and this is great place to get support and encouragement, so here we go!

That was a great idea...thanks so much. I use quilters chache and this is much easier looking at the blocks. Very excited to start.

Thanks, everyone! I don't think I put all the 12.5 inch blocks on there, just the ones I thought I could do!

I am now following you! This board is great. I love being able to see a picture of all the blocks.

Shadowirish, that is exactly how I felt when I joined boom 8. So far, everyone has been very nice and super supportive. I try to make all different blocks in an effort to improve my skills.

Have to show all of you what my 21 year old grand daughter did today. She's wanted to learn to quilt but we just never had the time with her schedule as an airline stewardess. Today she called me from the JoAnn's in Dallas and asked what she needed to buy, told her and sent her this little pattern for her 1st one. Talked on the phone once to tell her how to cut the material. This is her project this afternoon. Now I know where my stash will go, So proud of her. Think she matched those seams really well. "Think she matched those seams really well. "

Wow!! How proud of her you must be. I think her top looks great. She aced those seams. Her fabrics are perfect together. How lucky you are to have a DGD following in your footsteps. Sure wish one of my three DGDs were interested.

Think I'm going to have to recruit her to start looking for fabric everywhere she flies to. A FQ or 2 from all the countries would be an interesting quilt I think. She knows about those seams, my 1st one certainly didn't look like this.
