Have to show all of you what my 21 year old grand daughter did today. She's wanted to learn to quilt but we just never had the time with her schedule as an airline stewardess. Today she called me from the JoAnn's in Dallas and asked what she needed to buy, told her and sent her this little pattern for her 1st one. Talked on the phone once to tell her how to cut the material. This is her project this afternoon. Now I know where my stash will go, So proud of her. Think she matched those seams really well.

Wow! Both the colors and the seams are impressive, Jaba!

Jaba your grand daughter did a wonderful job on her first
quilt.

Looks like you have an impressively talented quilter budding.

Wow, tell your granddaughter she is off to a wonderful start on her quilting career.

I received a great firmy in the mail yesterday, but I don't have a board name to send a pm. So I will just say my thanks right here! I was confused at first when I pulled the box out of the mailbox, it was too heavy to be a pincushion??? But it was a lovely pincushion, stuffed with rice (I think). I really like the firecracker fabric, and it is a style I didn't have yet. Not only that, I also received a marking pen, a pack of postcards, and a bluework pattern. The instructions say to embroider by machine, but I think I will do it by hand. I haven't done much handwork lately and I am missing it. So, thank you Beth you are a marvelous swap partner!

Thanks ladies, I told her today that all of you thought she did a great job. She said the seam matching wasn't so bad but "It took me forever grandma" told her she would get faster, she was just nervous to do it right. She just laughed and told me to tell all of you that she plans on getting better and to thank you for the nice comments, then said it's in the mail to me for quilting....love that girl so much!
