Not to be argumentative, but I can print from my iPad on a printer I have installed on my wifi network. I print pdf's all the time.

We could do that, too, until HP did some sort of remote update on the printer. I'm sure my husband okayed the update. He's in the doghouse, because now it won't print from the iPad. He's contacted HP and they can't figure the problem out, either.

Give me a hard copy every time.
I have a kindle for books but still prefer a hard copy.
Mags are mostly eye candy for me and after years of collecting still have not made a quilt from one.

Is it, by chance, the iPad 3??

The first and second iPads cannot print unless you purchase the one of the 2 printers compatible with them.

Ok I feel like a goof and want to apologize! I wasn't even thinking about the different versions of iPad, I just assume everyone has the same one I do!! Ya know what happens when you assume! I have the iPad 4 and haven't ever used one of the other versions. So I apologize for my ignorance on this!!

Yep, the entire pattern is in the digital version as well. I have been trying to go digital for some of my magazines as I am running out of room for the paper copies!

Nice they fixed that inconvenience on the new iPads!

Seems I always need a "paper" pattern to use by my machine. I am too, running out of room. Need to get used to using technology to reduce my ever growing stacks of patterns. I like paper to be able to add notes and make calculations.

I like the digital versions as often you can archive the past years as well except I found that Quiltmaker will not allow you to although they have a archive. You need a subscription to get those so I called because there was one in particular that I wanted and lo and behold they gave me access to that one. Thank you Quiltmaker.
