Welcome from Florida! Cutting straight gets easier with practice. The rulers with a lip to hold against the bottom of the mat sure help in accuracy, too.

Thanks, I do have 1/4?\" foot and also a walking foot. I just need practice. I'm working on a stick and flip table topper -- it's a cinch but fun.

Thanks. It's crunch time I'm making a throw for my oldest grandchild -- I'm quilting it with a swirl pattern I learned in a class. So much to do so little tine.,
