I use the waffly stuff and it works for me.

This method makes me lose control of the single stitch function that I have with the FC. Otherwise, if not needed, would work fine.

I haven't tried this but Leah Day suggests turning the foot pedal around to get better control of the speed when you are doing FMQ.
I use one of those rubber mesh things like you line kitchen cupboards with and it works pretty well. I have to adjust the foot position now and then but it is better than not having anything at all.

Connecting threads has a "pedal mat" on sale for $7.95. Works great for me

I use the rubber gripper pads that you put under scatter rugs to keep them from slipping.

I use my stop/start button instead. It never moves!

I solved my problem with my foot pedal on hardwood flooring. I took 4 command strips, tacked two together on each end of my foot pedal and then by removing the last paper to expose the tacky part I laid it on the floor where I want the pedal to stay. Works great. Wow, what will I do without constantly chasing that foot pedal around?

Martelli has a great product. I have wood flooring and even the rubber waffle on a roll doesn't keep it in one place for long.

Someone posted sometime back about putting your foot pedal on a mouse pad. What I found at the dollar store was a rubberized mouse pad works great for me on carpet.

Someone in the vintage sewing machine thread mentioned one time that the Featherweight machine pedals were designed to be used with your heel doing the pushing. Not all pedals will be comfortable this way, but it's worth a try.
