I used to have one of those little dancing hamsters that jumped around and played a song by Pink.

I wanted so much to find scenes of NC and y'know I couldn't find any! so I am going to have to do plan b, which is good too.
My main thing was getting the college decals and such and sew them together, or find the light houses, and no luck!!
I found some animal fabric. there is a big zoo in Ashville, NC so I will make it up with this.

Psychomomquiltr, will wave at you this weekend. We're leaving in the morning for your area. Spend Friday night and Saturday night in Jacksonville, NC and then back to the Wendell area for Sunday, Mon and home to TN on Tuesday. Our youngest son and his family live in Wendell. I'll wave from the highway!!!

Default Doll quilt

Received a map of Florida from chasezzz today. All these little 1" pieces represent the sky, land and water. Then she marked the map with where she lives. Lots and lots of work and time in this one, thank you so much chasezzz, I love it, reminds me of when my son is there for business also. Also got 2 green FQ's, a new Frixion pen, which mine is just about used up, and a little star button to mark where son is. Can't get the other pic of additional items to load. Thank you again chasezzz

Glad you like it! I was very happy with how it turned out! (Did double think my plan once I realized there were over 300 HSTs in the planning sketch but had a good time making it.)

Think I would have done more than double think, I'd have run for the ocean and I'd still be swimming or already sunk

Jaba, a couple of my local quilting buddies were wondering about my sanity! Started with 2" squares, yielded pairs of ~ 1-5/8" HST units, squared all to 1-1/2" to yield myriads of 1" finished! Some pages back is the photo of the trimmings from squaring up over 200 "ocean" pieces that I did at the beach the evening of July 3 when we hosted my parents there.

Yikes, look at all those HSTs, chasezzz your quilt for jaba is truly amazing!!! Now I can see why I am not really a great fan of HSTs and try and avoid them to this degree

I have just updated my dolls quilt swap partners USA map and can see that I will have to keep doing the dolls quilts/mini quilts for a little while longer if I want to get one from just about every state of the USA. Still need to get a little quilt from Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Montana, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, Missouri.....

Got my little quilts for ljdugas31 and cogito done for July, just need to add some extras and get them in the mail... I LOVE THIS SWAP
