I use quilts on my table daily. If a spill happens, I throw them in the wash using Oxi-Clean in with the detergent and they have always come out just fine. I even used them on the table at our community fall bar-b-que. I love the look .

P. S. I also keep quilts on my front porch on the swing nearly year round. I make them to use and enjoy.

Wonderful quilts. They really do look very nice as tablecloths.

What is the saying...... if you never use something there will be no memories attached to it to pass on...or something like that!! It would be a shame if a stain would not come out of a quilt, but the memories of that BBQ or any other event are priceless. Just a thought. I think it was grand of you to use your quilts and I am sure there were many great memories of that day taken home with everyone who attended. By the way, your quilts are beautiful!!!

I also use my themed quilts for holidays. The Christmas quilt just sets off the magic of Christmas. Just removed my patriotic quilt from the table. Makes for a festive occasion. Love the look that you had at the barbecue. Great idea!

So pretty. I often did this when I had only adults. U Know why? well, I find adults spill, too. Now I make the table special to entice the children to question. But I know how to wash a quilt. Thanks. Linda in Bastrop

Ok you all have convinced me to get those extra quilts out of their pillowcases and use them on the dining room table BUT....I still have to put a clear plastic over them.....not that brave yet!
