I'm not familiar with industrial machines, but did get a really nice vintage domestic machine through Craigslist. I just checked the Phila Pa list and saw a Consew Industrial machine with table and lamp for $80. You can try to search your local Craigslist for a machine, and don't forget to test it out thoroughly with your fabric before buying anything.

I have seen them frequently on Craig's list

The Consew for $80 is bogus. There is an email address embedded in the picture, then the text says "no text, no emails. I won't reply."

I purchased a Consew from a really nice guy who acquired it through an estate sale. So far so good. I got the pedal working, all I need to do is figure out a way to wind a bobbin. The machine didn't include a bobbin winder. Guess I'm checking out the 'bay...

Those use an external bobbin winder. They are pretty easy to use - once you have used one you will figure out how to wind your bobbin as you sew on some of your other machines.

FYI -- The bobbin size for the Consew 99 is #B74, which is being replaced by #204-230. The bobbin winder is a generic unit, driven by the belt, model #10734 or #259431. These can be had for $10-$20 either through ebay, or a shop that specializes in industrial machines. Be warned that the shops usually have a minimum mail order of around $50. I found the folks at www.southstarsupply.com to be both very friendly and quite knowledgeable.
The Consew 99 was replaced by the 199 "at least 30 years ago".

One good thing about industrial machines....
Is you can wind bobbins to your hearts content while sewing. I never bought pre wound bobbins for my Pfaff 545, I wound them as I worked. Being a seamstress in my upholstery shop I spent a lot of time there....LOL

If you lived in Colorado I would know just the place to recommend call.
One of the "service" guys is a customer for the company I work for. He
is always ordering drill bits, reamers, etc. from us.

The name of the company is "Ralph's Industrial Sewing" in Denver.
