I think I would just stand in the door and look, would have a quick getaway if something crawled out from under or between something. I have really bad allergies and this seems like a bad combination. But still, it looks like an adventure for those not faint of heart

Oh my! That looks very disorganized. Here I was thinking that Fieldstone House (somewhere in NY) was cluttered. This place looks REALLY, rather it IS beyond cluttered. It makes FH look organized!!! Did you buy anything? Would you go back?

When a friend and I went to FH, she was overwhelmed, but I was not. I think I would be at Obies!

I bought some very nice flannel there, but I would never go back, just because the place grosses me out.

This reminds me of the row house my sister had to rent in Pittsburgh, PA when she found out she was losing her battle with colon cancer. It was 4 rooms with shelving on all walls as well as islands stacked to the ceiling with all the fabric she had accumulated. And, this was prior to Internet access. Who know how much she would have accumulated if she had lived past 2001. Her 6 bedroom house was stuffed with all the books, magazines, kits, notions, etc. she had accumlated.

This place looks out of control. Do they really sell anything?

Obie's Country Store is located at 585 Main Street, Goodville, PA 17528 (Rt 23). I have been there once or twice but it is not my favorite place to go. Prices are similar to stores in the area and the clutter and musty smell turns me off. However, if you are looking for that one piece of fabric you can't find anywhere else, they will probably have it. Also any novelty fabric under the sun!

That's my LQS, Stitcher's Garden! She moved in 2009 to a bigger shop off HWY 96, and now it's about as stacked up as her old place. I tell you though, as far as fabric goes, if you want it, she's got it.
