MYWR, I live in Ark. but shop in Texarkana and we have a son and friends in the DFW area, so we're very familiar with Mt. Pleasant. So happy for you to be moving home. It seems like Mt. P would be a good location with Canton just south of you and Dallas close enough to shop in and they have quilt shows.

Hi...I am a new quilter and I live in Grapeland so we are neighbors! I am just feeling my way along here and trying to teach myself. Are there any quilting goups locally?

Yes Lizzie there is. We meet at the senior center every Tuesday from 9 to 3. We are called the Tuesday Stitchers. Most of us quilt but some crochet and do other crafts. There is also a quilt guild in Crockett. I think it meets 2nd Tuesday nite of each month. If you read this in time, come by tomorrow. Be glad to meet you. We are all very friendly, loving , caring bunch.

oh my...I have probably met you...I went some at the first of year and brought my knitting. I have now found the joy of quilting. I am not sure at this point of toting my machine back and forth but maybe I could keep projects to take that need to be cut out, pinned, sorted, etc. Everyone was so friendly...thank you for reminding me of this group!! I will try to see y'all very soon.
