your hand quilting is beautiful. So is the quilt. Love the other ones also.

Your quilts are lovely. As a hand quilter also I can appreciate the work that went into them and the satisfaction you get from a job well done. Because of a rare illness I had my strength is not what it used to be but I can always handquilt. The biggest thing I machine quilt is a lap robe or crib size for Linus. Anything else I handquilt. Our calling needs more handquilters to keep the art alive. Hang in there.

I agree with nativetexan an elongated figure 8 or the infinity symbol. Love what you've done so far!

Your quilting is beautiful! Both quilts are also beautiful. I am not much help with the quilting inside the eye, maybe the 1/4 inside .. just not sure. Thank your for sharing your great work!

Don, it is truly gratifying to see a man who is so talented at quilting. I wish I could get my husband interested, it is such a rewarding art. Keep up the good work and the posts.

I'm trying to remember how the one I grew up with was quilted. I think it had the 1/4" inside the "eye" then with an X in the center. That would fit well with your star in the larger area. If you wanted to omit the 1/4" then maybe use the X as the center of another simpler star type motif.

Your work is beautiful. I saw one that had the 1/4 stitching from the seam, but had echoed the oval about 1/4 inch apart until the arc was full. I haven't seen another done that way.
