The log cabin pattern is not mine--just the color ideas. You can steal that. ;-) The bookmarks are very simple... and I never wrote up directions to sell--so have at it quilters!! :-) I'd love to see what you make!

Thank you! I helped make the baby's father--and delivered him 26 years ago, so I should get credit for the cuteness on that granddaughter! ;-)

I do have a method. :-) I cut a 9" square out of muslin or ugly fabric I don't want to see. Then sew the first two strips to it. Iron. Keep adding strips until it's full. I like to vary the strips width--looks better than when they are all the same, I think. Turn it over and trim to 9". Cut into three 3" strips. Cut three 3 by 9 backs. Put them right to right sides and sew--leaving a space to turn inside out. Close up with Steam a Seam. Add a grommet, tassels, and beads. Done!

It is all gorgeous but the best is that sweet baby. No wonder you have to see her all the time.

Congrats to you on your work of arts! Your grand-daughter is precious!

I also like to make bookmarks from scraps.
Where do you buy the tiny grommets and are they easy to attach to the bookmarks? Thanks!
