Love mine! After burning out 2 Sunbeam stand mixers and a couple of hand mixers, hubby bought this for me almost 10 years ago...she is going strong. Only have the whip and hook...but that is all I really need.

There is a new "scraper" attachment which has a rubber flange on it, and this is great for mixing batters and much more. It reaches the insides of the bowl beautifully! Greatest investment I ever made! Will last a lifetime.

Same as Misty's Mom for me. One word of advice: Be careful when you mix and don't use the high settings unless directed. The first cake I made with it was a biscuit dough and I beat the living daylights out of it. As a result it exploded in the oven. Learned to go slow after that. I also recently bought the beater that has the silicone scraper on the side. It makes a huge difference when making batter since it scrapes down the sides. Have fun.

Well here is my new baby!!
He is silver just like my truck
He is an Artisan model, so I named him Arti. It was priced at $349.00 at Bed, Bath & Beyond. With my 20% coupon that saved me $70.00 and on top of that I get a $30.00 rebate. While I was there I got a new cheese grater and my favorite Bamboo spoons and spatulas for 5 bucks. So I spent a total of $301.00! for all my goodies. My husband wants me to get the clear pryex bowl for it and I definitely want the blade with the spatula on it.
After I unpacked him and gave all his parts a bath...lol and wiped him off. I made a white cake and it is so fluffy.
I am waiting for it to cool so I can frost it and cover it in coconut...yummy!

Mine is probably about 30 years old now, still working great. I hope the newer ones are as well made. I use the whip for cream and egg whites, mixer for baking and meat loaf, attachments for shredding for cabbage/saurkraut, bread hook. The only thing I've had trouble with was juicing, separating tomato seeds and grape seeds from the pulp. It bound up and was the devil to clean the attachment. I'll just keep making tomato sauce WITH seeds from now on. Oh, forgot that I also grind beef when I run out of burger and a good cut of lean meat is on sale.
