I agree I don't think of "baby" when I see it but I am sure it will look great with the black furniture she has in the room.

It is not traditional but we all have a little rebellious streak in us. Love it. My first baby nursery was soft yellow with lime green and orange accents. I can relate to the this mom's desire to avoid all of those cutesie little figures and patterns. Some just don't lean that way. I love the pattern and it sound like this gal has a plan that will be beautiful. My only thought is that a child can be overstimulated by too much bright colors in their sleeping area. That is word from the child development instructor. Enjoy the fun of making a beautiful room for this new special child.

Okay, it's not pastels, but be grateful.... I just got a request for a baby boy quilt and the nursery theme is alligators and skulls!!! That's a first for me!

My daughter's 35 now, but her baby quilt was also black with primary colors because I had read that babies need these strong colors for their eyes to develop properly. Your stars are just beautiful - do post again when everything's done.

I think you have nailed it - great departure from the usual crib quilts and nursery colors.

I like the blocks.

Wonder if DGD realizes that black shows EVERYTHING? Every bit of dust, every mark, every urp - - - -
