I did a big quilt like this with blue jeans and family pictures. Grandson is 6'5" and it worked great but no batting. Jeans made it quilt heavy. But he said that many times he used it in the winter while he waited for his job to open(never late). I used a fill between the family pictures of his favorite football team which he said made it extra special to him and now he is in the military and still has his quilt. Of course, not too much is heavy to him. It is a great pattern and fixing to make another one.
