Mirab's_DD your block is great I love to use black makes all the colors pop. I used it once lets just say did not stay black as we have 2 long white haired Turkish Angora cats that reside in our home they are so cute but hairy. One has crystal blue eyes and his brother has one blue and one greenish-yellow eye like the cat in the photo below.

Lynnie, when I started pp I thought I would never learn how to and I didn't like it because I had no idea how to do it. Now I love it and do pp as much as I can, even redraw blocks in EQ5 so I can pp them. There are lots of tuts on the internet and Craftsy has a pp class too.

Lynnie....this particular pattern even has the stitching lines numbered so there is little chance of sewing the wrong fabric....even if we are prone to doing such things. Try one section of the first block. You just stay on the lines when you sew. Sewing the sections together just required patience and a lot of pins to get everything lined up so the pattern isn't squewed. You might surprise yourself and develop a new quilting skill.
