Default Marcus Bros Flannel?

Has anyone used Marcus Bros flannel? I'm considering it for a quilt backing . . . but don't want to end up with something thin and/or pilling. Opinions? Thanks!

Our Walmart and a LQS used to have it and I really liked it.

Thanks, Anna! That's just what I was hoping to hear! I found some online and about to grab it!

I just bought some for the first time a few days ago! I'm definitely no flannel expert but I thought it washed up nicely, with no pilling and not much shrinkage.

This is what I got: http://www.marcusfabrics.com/cgi-bin...1#.UjxgEn_t7ac

Thanks! I found (and ordered) some from Thousands of Bolts, for $3.79 a yard (Sale section)!!! There were only 4 yards left, so I bought it all and figure it'll make a nice sofa quilt back. Here's a picture of it. Pretty, huh?

Pretty! What are you planning to do with yours? It looks so soft and cozy!

Ooh, you got a GREAT deal! I'm jealous I'm using it for the back of a cross-stitch baby quilt. I was excited to find something that matched so well, but it was a little painful to pay $11.50 a yard.

YIKES!!! You really need to check out Thousandsofbolts.com! There are some fantastic deals there! Even the non-sale fabric is a bargain! The only downside is they have limited quantities and apparently when it's gone, it's gone. If you find something you really love, it's wise to go ahead and grab it . . . before someone else does.

I have learned to go with the brands I know, though. My first order included an unfamiliar brand (to me - SPX Fabrics ) and I was really disappointed in it. Luckily, I only bought one yard and it was less than $5, so it wasn't too painful a lesson.

It IS pretty! I bought 10 yards of it a few weeks ago from fabric.com. Same sale price. It washes up really well, too.

I will definitely be checking them out when I'm ready for another project! There's nothing I love better than a bargain.
