Default Ongoing Handwork Project

Feeling a little slow today (just getting over bronchitis) so I though I would just take it easy, watch movies, and work on my ongoing handwork - a crazy quilt. As I was gathering up to get comfy in my chair I thought I would share pics of the work so far. I am a beginner at embroidery, mom is the expert and is slowly teaching me. I'm pleased how it is turning out so far.

Lovely. I love embroidery and use to do so much by hand. Cross stitch took over my obsession and then I bought an embroidery machine. Now I only do hand work when I am camping. Keep up the great job and thank your mom for sharing her talent with you!

Looking lovely! I used to get Bronchitis every winter until I started getting my flu shot in the fall. Don't know why it seems to help, it just does.

Thanks for sharing your Crazy Quilt with us,,, I have one to finsh, My mom gave me one that she started when My Dad was in the hospital with cancer. She even gave me the different fabrics to use to finish it. After Dad Died, she just couldn't pick it up again. So she is letting me finsh it, Thanks for giving me the small push to finish it while she is still with us, to help with the different stitches...

Love crazy quilts like this. No real rhyme or rhythm but works so well. Your embroidery is fabulous. Your mother taught you well. Thanks for sharing!

If this is a beginners work... well, wow is all I can say.
You are doing a great job.
It will be a treasure once you're done!
