    We did a similar thing in my kindergarten class years ago but had the kids make a hand print and color it. It was then ironed onto cloth. The color went into the cloth. the squares were bordered and tied together to make a wall hanging. Then 13 years later at their Grade 12 grad there was a presentation of the squares to each grown child. There wasn't a dry eye in the audience.
