She sounds adorable - sounds like there are lots of possibilities for a pink & purple soccer quilt! Have fun!

My 3 year old DGD is very specific when it comes to colors - she likes pink - purple and blue. Not too specific, but I can see a trend here. Hope she still likes those colors when I finish quilting her twin-size pin-wheel and butterfly quilt, which was in Quick Quilts, I think, don't remember. I've been blessed with many, many senior moments, so you have to forgive my memory. LOL. I do know that both my DS and DDIL both loved the quilt, my DD as well.

Look on some of the 'modern quilts' sites and you can see how cool a pink and purple quilts can be, and never once see a teacup or fairy. Probably just what she's looking for!

Did you see the photo on another thread of a splashy, modern quilt designed by a 17 year old granddaughter? It uses circles that could become soccer balls, maybe even pieced balls from soccer-print pink and purple fabric. http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...n-t231706.html

This site has several online shops that sell soccer ball fabric.

Good luck.

Glad to hear that she knows what she wants and she isn't afraid to say so. Guess you could take her shopping and let her pick out the fabric. Be sure to post a picture of the finished product!

I love that she is so definite in her thoughts though that will be a challenge for you! I bet you come through for her!
