Default Wondering if there is a group meeting for fabric addiction?:)

Have been working on stash reduction. But I will wander into Walmart or Joanne's for thread or notions, and I am always in trouble. Is this a sickness? Could be worse(drugs) right?

HA! yes it could be worse , I am dealing with the same
I did get rid of 9 boxes not log ago, it is nice getting things more organized, I have resisted two days now wanting to drive an hour to the fabric shack and go crazy buying some more . Seems to be a constant battle , I have not bought for a year and I still fight it !

You won't find it in the AMA Journals but there are a whole lot of people who are afflicted with it. Most are yet to be diagnosed and suffer daily in silence. Their only relief is to give in and buy more. The alternative would be a 12 step program and most of those have failed. How do I know this? Hi, My name is Shirley and I have a fabric addiction.

I'm afraid there isn't a cure for it. We all have it in different degrees. By all, I mean everyone on here. Personally, I start to get depressed when I haven't been to a fabric shop in awhile. It goes away as soon as I buy fabric or a book or notions. The best relief is when I buy fabric. Don't fight it, just enjoy it.

That is what we are all here for! Of course, we all need the same help (or at least most of us!) but there is a great deal of comfort to know you are not alone in your addiction!

You've come to the wrong place asking for help. We're all enablers.
