I am definitely the person to address this issue today. I saw a pix of a tablerunner somewhere online & since my printer isn't working right for now, I drew a pix of it. Once I started putting it together it was such a mess I think I've rebuilt it 3 or 4 times trying to figure it out. Any sensible person would have just tossed it but I was determined to figure it out. Now it's ready to sandwich. I can't even find the original pix to see how far off I might be but I like it now. Just can't let some little pcs. of fabric defeat me. LOL Pat

I make mistakes often, sometimes I correct and other times they are design elements.

Everytime I sew. All right, once in awhile, the quilt fairy sprinkles no mistake dust on me.

If I am not ripping something out, I am trying to figure out how to cover it up some other way. I guess I should be a very smart quilter if I learn from my mistkes

For me, everyday. My sewing mistakes fortunately are not usually too terrible that I can't come up with a solution to fix the problem though. It may take sleeping on it to come up with a solution, but usually everything is fixable cause I am pretty flexible and not too terribly hard on myself.

i got a good chuckle when i read the title of this thread. i can't seem to make it through a sewing session without at least one mistake and sometimes there are multiple mistakes. that is when i have to get up and walk away from the sewing machine for a while. usually helps. like grannieannie said, learning opportunities. i like that.
