OHHH so cute! love the wool felt add on too! I have wanted to do one of those candle mats for a while now. There is a on the go or something like that web site where they have a billion of those type kits good for newbies like me. I however want to do lots of things lol and getting them done is not as easy as wanting to get them done!

I have finished my two doll quilts. I really like them similar but different too.. this is a great theme. I will wait til my partners receive them and if they can't post pics I will. yahooooo!!!

Just doing a little bit of catch-up today. Family is gone now and trying to get back to normal, great having them here but 12 extra people takes a little bit of time. Lots of laundry today. According to tracking, my partner Tam..Moo received hers on the 10th, hoped she liked it...waiting for mine.

The plan was to start yours last weekend, but that didn't work out. Should be able to start this week though.

I needed a break from machine quilting on my Elna yesterday (and couldn't be bothered changing from the walking foot to normal foot) so thought I would do some more work on your DQ so got out my little Featherweight and was sewing along nicely, actually got the candle all done and the flame went out literally on my sewing machine, it choked on some cotton and refused to work anymore....had to wait for the maintenance man (DH) to come home to check it out. Will get some more done today.

Oooh, Lynnie25, hope your sewing machine "expert fixer" is able to get your fw up and purring along again! Finally bought my fw, about 4 mos ago. It's actually a Great Britain stamped one...came with proper converter..dh and I have her apart for a lil cleaning. She is in excellent shape, perfect paint, decals, etc..but needed to have old oil and "gunk" removed..replaced the drip pad, those things sure can smell bad! Case is in excellent condition, too..but have tried everything I have read about to try and remove the smell some of the original cases have..still has wee bit odor, and my Lupus sensitivity to smells is like the princess with the pea under all those mattresses..

Kif, I've had my fw for about 4 years but only recently got it serviced so it worked properly (or so I thought). DH couldn't work his magic so it's off to the sewing machine doctor later in the week.

My first attempt at my partner's DQ just ended up in the garbage. Back to the drawing board tonight to 'tweak' the pattern a little. Have to admit I have been doing this swap for nearly 3 years now and this is the first month that I am struggling to get enthused to get my DQ done...probably cause I have too many other things on the go...OH DEAR !!! Whinge, Whinge, now get back on that sewing machine and work magic !!
