Default A mariner's star with braided borders

My Advanced quilting class project. I've fused the appliqué down and we sandwiched and started quilting last night. The fabric is metallic and really "snowy/frosty" but is hard to tell in the picture. Was going to try some silver metallic thread for some of the quilting but it made my machine very unhappy.

Bobbielinks, what pattern are you using for the tulip quilt? Very pretty.

Right now I have 2 in the block phase (#1 has finished blocks - need to work on sashing [Eleanor Burns pattern]; the other one is down to the last block and I have figured out a setting for it 2 yr old BOM going to use a Sharyn Craig setting). I also have a lap quilt on my LA ready to quilt. Both are King size, so also trying to figure out a design wall to hold them while running the settings.

In the meantime, I finished the City Sampler blocks for the BOM club I belong to at one of my LQS. I have my son's quilt waiting in the wings to be cut.

I am working on Christmas gift projects: 9 aprons, 6 table toppers, 18 pillowcases, 5 sets of placemats, 18 mug rugs, 3 cookbook covers....... Every project is started but not everyone finished. You can probably tell that I am not a start and finish before going on to the next thing.

I'm quilting two quilts at the moment, Embroidering a set from the Quiltery, making totes and knitting a jumper for a little girl who will be one next winter. I also always have a book on the go. Also as usual spending too much time on the computer. Life's fun, fun, fun.

Not as prolific as some but I'm happy,

I have a king size 10 minute block waiting to be finished, two baby quilts also. Numerous lap quilts and a veggie quilt in progress. My dh said "not to work on too many projects, so I don't get overloaded. So as you can see I don't do one thing at a time. I also am in the middle of embroidery projects when I get some time.

I totally read that last line as "Luckily I have ANOTHER small home."

Nope, you are not the only one. Here's what's in my quilting queue:

1. sampler quilt for class in piecing stage
2. baby quilt in cutting stage
3. table runner in Pinterest stage
4. wall hanging in procrastination stage (because it's applique and I don't know what I was thinking or what I'm doing)

I think I am a "mood quiltmaker" because I have to be in the right mood to do things. Last week i was in the mood to use up scraps and i made quilt blocks for 3 twin size quilts to be donated. I organized a lot of my small pieces and plan to do more donation quilts this winter. Tis good to downsize the stash.
