    The only thing I did differently, I used my 12 1/2" ruler, took it on an angle and stuck some tape on the 5 1/2" marker for the small triangles and on 9" for the large ones. I found it easier.
    I am sew very glad you posted the link. I've not been able to find a free pattern that was in English.....or at least the English I am familiar with. Ive been wanting to try one forever but ive been scared to do so. this pattern really intimidates me.

    Are you going to put triangles in the corners so it can be square? If not how are you going to finish it with all those angles. Thats what stops me from making those.
