I have several but I think Shawshank Redemption would definitely be at the top of the list. I also love the latest Count of Monte Cristo (the one with Jim Caviezel).

For comedies I like Maverick, Shaun of the Dead, 40 year old Virgin.

I love these too. Every once in a while TCM will do a marathon and show the whole series. Love it!

EDIT: Another absolutely must watch is from Austrailia, Once Were Warriors. What an amazing piece of film. So very sad and uplifting at the same time. Love this film.

For laughs (belly rolls and tears from laughing so hard is) Kung Fu Hustle

Tom Hanks in The Ladykillers

I love almost all the ones everyone has mentioned, but don't forget Annie Hall (la-de-da la-de-da!) and Close Encounters of the Third Kind (would you go?).

I didn't think anybody else even saw Boondock Saints. I really liked 1 and would have to see the second one again cause I know I saw it but must have napped a bit.
