I've recently started cutting my own charms. An easy way to help use my stash. I also use my accuquilt GO to cut jelly rolls and honey buns.

Confession time. While I was looking at charm packs on eBay, I ran across a Christmas panel I ***love*** and ended up ordering enough fabric from the line to make a Christmas quilt. (The recent thread on Christmas quilts helped!) Now I have no money left for charms, so will just cut my own from stash. Here are links to the panel and coordinating fabrics that made me jump off the wagon:

I love charm packs! I buy most of mine from the oft mentioned Missouri*Quilt. Lots of selection and if I've got specific needs ive yardage that's available too. I'm just ordered 100.00 plus this weekend. A bit of stash but also some specifics for 2 quilts. Prices usually very competitive and quality has been consistent.

Charm packs are 5" squares? Ive never used them before. Where would I buy them the cheapest can someone tell me? I would really really like some but I live on less then $500 a month so the best price would be great. Thanks

I buy only sale charm packs. Never just one. 2 plus one white for boarder, small nice size for child or lap.. Wonderful for fast project. Plain charm one may be full price. Agree with tutorials at MSQ, that is where I buy too.

When I buy charm packs always buy 2...gives at least 4 charms of each color combination. I have found recently that buying 10" layer cakes is better. You can get 4 charms out of 1 layer cake square and can get 4 jelly roll type strips of 2.5" x 10". These are great for making purses or totes or table runners and placemats. Very fast and easy when you do not have to spend as much time cutting. Also find great color matches save time. Missouri Star Quilt and Connecting Threads have good deals all the time on pre cuts.

I love charm packs too. But I have discovered that if I buy one layer cake on sale, I can get FOUR charm packs out of it. I get most of mine from greenfairyquilts.com. Not sure if that is exactly the name, it may be greenfairyquilting.com. They have free shipping all the time and some really great sales.
