I too found out I like scrap quilts after participating in swaps and putting some of those pieces together. Another thing I have found is that it may not be your favorite or you may think you did not piece it well. But when it is all together and quilted, it may become one of your favorites. Scrappy quilts can be fun to do. Can't wait to see the finished projects.

One is an Irish Chain that is now quilted and in my cottage in Flagstaff, AZ (summer place) and the other needs to be quilted. I think this 3rd one is going to be "patches and pinwheels".
Thank you everyone for the nice comments. I do plan to share the final products!

Regarding Bonnie Hunter's website..... I also became aware of her website and leader/ender process from the Quilting Board. I am currently making these two quilts at the same time. The one with the 2" squares are my leaders/enders to the string quilt. It's going much faster than it would have otherwise!

I warn you! Scrap quilts are addicting! Can't tell you how many I've made. Although I always generated quite a few scraps on my own, many of my fellow guild members began bringing their scraps to me. They jokingly call me "The Queen of Scraps." Have fun.

You're on your way to becoming a 'scrap artist'. Great looking so far, keep it up.

They're all going to be great when you're finished. What I like about the strip piecing (the top one), is it creates an illusion. Almost has a mirrored effect like beveled.
