ditto for all the above comments .... D9P has become one of my favorite patterns, this one adds a snazzy variation! Love it and can't wait to try it. Thanks for sharing the link.

You could split the border into 2 pieces and use a narrow white and wider black. A scrap binding would look nice to finish it off.
