Thanks Steph! Hopefully, by the time the girls are a bit older I will be able to find the mag in my sewing/computer room.

I had a gifted son, and found it was simple enough to simply
ASK him what he wanted. At age 5 he wanted a quilt embroidered
with his favorite things. He wanted, first of all, his dog, a Doberman,
his tennis racket, a big Butterfly that he had started his collection with
his Dad, and other favorite things. And, yes, I did finally finish that
darned quilt, right after he got out of the Navy!!

I took a picture one of my daughters created (she's 47 now) and reproduced it in fabric. She made it when she was in the 3rd grade. I only made it for a picture frame 15 x 12 inches but I could have easily enlarged it to a wall hanging size. It looked exactly like the picture she made. Just an idea but thought the girls might like to see their art work recreated by grandma for their room. Maybe their mom has some of their art work she has saved.

There are many panels that you could turn into wall hangings...I would do a search if you wanted something quick and easy.

The grandchildren are beautiful - and smart!! Wonderful!
The boy is so handsome, too.
Like the sunbonnet girls - have a lot of designs using them. I have taken SILK artificial flowers, take them apart, and sewn them on to sweaters, etc. Put a button on the center, or use a bead center for smaller flowers. Would look very nice to fill in your picture - maybe a flower bed across the bottom. They wash along with my sweaters and blouses with no problem, and don't seem to fade. Good luck - and will be anxious to see your finished design done. Hug all those beautiful children for me. (Mine are too far away to hug right now.)

Those are beautiful kids. I have no suggestions for a wall hanging. All mine seem to grow into quilts.
