Would you do just a day? Depends on when/where.....

There is a resort by Paynesville that I have used, the more nights you stay the cheaper it gets. 3 - 4 I believe it's 40/ night, I would have to confirm the price. We would provide are own towels and food. I will get into more details if anyone is interested.

Could you share more details, like which resort and possibly days?

Quilt Haven on Main, the quilt shop in Hutchinson offers sewing space in the upstairs area. It is the former design space of Thimbleberries. I have not sewn there, but was given a tour and they provide sewing tables, irons and big ironing boards and cutting areas. It also has a kitchen area. It is gorgeous, very bright and still has the original tin ceiling tiles and woodwork.

    Here is the website: http://www.quilthavenonmain.com/

It is available free of charge during regular business hours.

I'm trying to see what everyone is looking for, there are so many opinions. No days picked. http://bugbeehiveresort.com/groups.html This resort is a place I've gone to for 6 years,it's by Paynesville . The pictures they are showing is the room they use when there over 20 people. There is another craft room for smaller group that isn't on the website. Also, I have my church hall available, lots of table and a kitchen. There are just so many possiblies, I want to see what everyone wants.

I just wanted to say 'hi!' I grew up with a Watkins address but went to Kimball schools. It's nice seeing people from my 'growing up' area in this forum.

My in-laws farm isn't far from Bugbees.

I'm 1/2 north of St Paul only 13 miles from WI. I love the idea of a quilting weekend....so much so that I'm trying to own my own retreat. haha It's in the works, but not found the right place yet!....so who knows how long it will take to find that place I can make my own. When were you thinking of a weekend getaway? I go twice per year....Maple Ridge in Taylors Falls, MN in February and Birch Park Retreat Center in Houlton, WI in October.

I would perhaps be interested, especially if later in the spring or next fall when the threat of blizzards is past. I have a quilty friend who grew up in Watkins and still has family in that area who may be interested too.
